Environmental/Industrial Hygiene Technician needed in the Greater Kansas City area for an environmental consulting and testing company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental/industrial hygiene field sampling, using various sampling equipment and techniques
- Prepare and analyze samples in the lab and field with a phase contrast microscope
- Write reports from field observations and data analysis
- Provide secondary support to EcoSafe Environmental Scientists, including environmental investigations and environmental project assistance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene, or related field required
- One year of environmental testing/industrial hygiene and/or OSHA experience, including hazardous materials, specifically conducting asbestos, lead and mold sampling preferred, but not required
- Must be able to lift/carry 50-pound equipment and climb multiple flights of stairs/tall ladders when necessary
- Proficient writing, computer and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record without restrictions, and reliable transportation
