JOB SUMMARY:
The Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator will report directly to the Environmental, Health and Safety Director. This position is responsible for maintaining a variety of health, safety, and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for teammates. The successful candidate will be a self-starting leader who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with operation, maintenance, and engineering teams.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assist EH&S Director with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and code compliance
- Assist with recordkeeping and reporting requirements
- Help develop controls for identified hazards. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control system, policies, and procedures. Recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace incidents
- Conduct and coordinate on-site checks to audit conditions and program sustainability
- Assist with monitoring and implement ongoing updates in environmental/safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements
- Coordinate return to work physical demand analysis assessments
- Purchasing of safety supplies and products
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- B.S./B.A. degree with 1 - 3 years related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
