The Chromalloy EHS Specialist works with the Site Leader, Operations, Quality, and Human Resources functions at an aerospace manufacturing and repair facility to keep our employees safe, maintain compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and laws, and drive an atmosphere of continuous improvement to make Chromalloy the best in industry in these areas.

Primary Accountabilities:
- Support the implementation of EHS SOPs and Commitment to Safety Program
- Manage the sites EMIS – Dakota Software and Scope 5
- Accident Incident Investigation
- Internal Auditing
- Corrective Action Item tracking/completion
- Program specific action item tracking/completion
- Tracking of sustainability metrics
- Training, including development of training materials and conducting training as necessary to ensure facility compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, FDEP, and DOT regulations including, but not limited to:
- RCRA Very-Small Quantity Generator waste management
- Stormwater – No Exposure Certification
- Air Permitting Assessments
- Mentoring individual facility operators, professionals and management (as appropriate), especially during on-boarding and major site projects, incidents or activities
- Evaluates impact of regulations and standards on site operations
- Coordinates routine testing and monitoring as required
- Spill and event contingency planning
- Coordinates routine testing and monitoring of employees
- Monitors program compliance and conducts audits for environmental, health and safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, chemistry, environmental or safety.
- Professional certifications or a desire to work towards (PE, CIH, CSP, CHMM, OHSAS etc.)
- 1-3 years of experience in progressive EHS roles in manufacturing, preferably within the Aerospace Industry
- Experience in development and execution of EHS strategy
- Desired experience managing Hazardous Waste programs
- Up to date with latest EHS regulations and directives
- Fluent in English
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent communicator, influencer, and ability to work with authorities, higher educational institutes and professional associations
