Job Purpose and Impact
The CPNA Sustainable Operations Lead will focus on the development, execution and monitoring of Cargill Proteins Natural Resource Operating Standards program. They will assist with the data reporting, accuracy and knowledge of why the data maters and how the data is used in strategic decisions. This position will be a member of the CPNA sustainability segment operating team and participate in the development and execution of green house gas and water reduction strategies, as well as consulting with project teams on individual sustainable projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist facilities with the reporting and understanding of metrics used to calculate the scope 1 and 2 emissions.
- Provide updates on progress towards goals, and insights on individual plant and segment trends
- Participate in CPNA sustainability segment strategy development and deployment of initiatives
- Collaborate with Manufacturing technology leads, Utility leads to identify opportunities for utility improvement projects, and practices
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to Project development teams regarding scope 1,2 and water efficiency goals as well as technology selection for improvements
- Act as a resource for plants for knowledge on current standards, initiatives and future developments
- Represent CPNA on other sustainability focused teams and initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of six years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Experience and expertise in utility management
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience.
