Are you interested in developing Danske Bank’s strategic dialogues with the largest companies in the Nordic countries? Do you have a wide-ranging banking background and sustainability expertise? If so, this is a great opportunity for you!
A key ambition in Danske Bank’s Forward’28 strategy is to play a leading role in providing our customers with relevant advice on their sustainability agenda. We have built the foundations of many of our corporate relationships on strong advisory input of capital structure, ratings, liquidity, debt capacity and risk advisory. We also have also built a strong footing in advising our clients on how the unfolding sustainable finance agenda impacts availability and pricing of capital.
Increasing demand for sustainability advisory
We want to ensure that we are positioned in an optimal manner to meet our customers increasing demand on sustainability advisory and we will therefore embed sustainability in the more traditional corporate advisory topics. We furthermore want to ensure that we share best practice across teams and countries on this rapidly evolving agenda.
To meet these requirements we have merged the local Corporate Advisory teams in Large Corporate Banking Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway with the Sustainable Finance Advisory functions in the countries. Each of the four local Corporate & Sustainability Advisory teams are highly competent and they are well embedded in the local Corporate Banking setup.
We are nowlooking for a Nordic Corporate & Sustainability Advisory head to lead the combined teams.
Organizationally the new Corporate & Sustainability Advisory team is placed in Sustainable Finance in Corporate & Institutional Banking. The local Advisory heads will report to the Nordic Head of Corporate & Sustainability Advisory, who in turn will report to Samu Slotte, Global Head of Sustainable Finance.
Embedding sustainability in corporate advisory

The Sustainable Finance team is responsible for ensuring the integration of sustainability across Danske Bank’s Large Corporates & Institutions division and works mainly on four areas, namely Corporate & Sustainability Advisory, ESG Risk Assessment and Portfolio ESG Analysis and Change Management.
The Nordic Head of Corporate & Sustainability Advisory will be a member of the Management Team of Sustainable Finance in Large Corporates & Institutions. Whilst the role is organizationally placed Corporate & Institutional Banking the Nordic head will work closely with colleagues in Investment Banking and in Markets.
