As Sustainability Senior Manager you will be part of our Corporate Responsibility team, which is an integral part of our European Brand & Marketing function. As Sustainability Senior Manager you’ll manage a team – leading, influencing and supporting the delivery of successful and impactful programmes across the Environment and Responsible Business pillars for Europe.

This exciting role will see you influencing and growing our existing programmes across two fascias (TK Maxx & Homesense) and six countries, including

• Continued strategy development, engagement, and impact measurement of activities to support our scope 1&2 Net Zero pathway and Scope 3 carbon reduction plan.
• Leading the implementation of initiatives to deliver TJX Europe’s zero waste to landfill and plastic reduction strategy.
• Partnering with a range of functions across our business including Buying, Legal, Logistics, Global Sourcing & Procurement to build on our existing programmes and approach to sustainable products, raw materials, biodiversity and circularity.
• Lead on the development of continual improvement strategies within TJX Europe to drive improvements in social and environmental performance across the supply chain.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

• Breadth of experience working in Sustainability and / or Corporate Responsibility
• A strong understanding of the wider sustainability agenda and up to date knowledge of supply chain, raw materials, sustainability legislation, industry developments and prevailing best practice on driving improvement.
• Senior experience in an environmental sustainability / ethical trade/responsible sourcing/supply chain sustainability role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Experience of working in project management in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills – relationship building, team working, influencing skills and able to prioritise and work with multiple projects at once
• Experience of engaging and influencing at a senior level within a business setting.
• Self-Starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative
