We are looking for a Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Ethical Business Practices and Sustainability Lead who is dedicated, innovative and collaborative to join our Ethics & Compliance (E&C) team, based in our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
About the role
The Ethics & Compliance Ethical Business Practices and Sustainability Lead will collaborate with the Head of Global Ethics and Compliance to design the ethical culture/business practices strategy and measurements for UCB, supporting Sustainability initiatives and implementing the program to advance ethical culture at UCB. The role will drive initiatives to embed and foster an ethical mindset and culture as well as designing measurements to assess progress on related initiatives and ensuring necessary reporting internally and externally. He/she will provide expert advice to ensure appropriate development, interpretation and implementation of relevant programs for ethical business practices. Furthermore, he/she will participate in leadership teams and other governance bodies as assigned by Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer to provide E&C focused input and leadership. This role will also involve implementing required E&C Governance to support implementation of initiatives within UCB.
Who you’ll work with
You will closely collaborate with the Head of Global Ethics and Compliance, the Ethics and Compliance team, and the Talent team. Additionally, you will engage with business stakeholders in fostering an ethical culture and driving ethical business practices.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement ethical business practices strategies, policies, procedures and programs
- Collaborate with E&C global resources by assessing emerging global needs/problems, share existing best practices and solutions (in view of scaling up), co-create global solutions (incl. regional pilot), support implementation and monitor solution impact
- Support business stakeholders by providing resources to support ethical decision making
- Design relevant communications and assets to support implementation of ethical business practices initiatives.
- Direct the UCB related sites in the development of educational plans, materials and resources to educate employees in the overall objectives of the ethical culture and business practices and support enterprise initiatives related to culture.
- Through e.g. participation on relevant industry trade groups and in partnership with legal department, maintain a current understanding of regulatory and compliance trends and changes in law and/or guidelines and to advise appropriate management of trends affecting their activity
- Managing required reporting related to ethical business practices including contributions to annual report and ESG initiatives.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- Healthcare regulatory and/or consulting experience of at least 10 years
- Knowledge of sustainability approaches within healthcare
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
- In depth understanding of key assigned geography business integrity topics
- Holding a certification (CCEP/CCP-I or alternative E&C education program) is an asset
