Sustainability Risk Specialist, 80%-100%

Zurich’s Risk Team have a purpose led role to provide insights to the main stakeholders through effective risk assessments, internal risk reporting and communications, risk policy and risk reporting. The ideal future employee will support and embed the Group Risk Management mission and effectively manage risk that achieve Group strategic, operational and financial objectives.

What you will do

 

  • Perform Risk Management activities supporting Group Finance and Group Sustainability functions, such as: 

  • Communicate ERM guidance (framework, methodology, policy requirements). 

  • Ensure that there is a sound control environment (ICIF) supporting sustainability related information. 

  • identify of risk trends or opportunities. 

  • Perform quality assurance review procedures on relevant ZRP policies. 

  • Provide assistance as part of the revision of ZRP policies. 

  • Prepare risk reporting disclosures (annual report, quarterly risk report). 

  • Advice and new insights to business on the risks, strategic optionality / actions, peer positioning. 

  • External engagements (CRO Forum, IIF sustainable finance, Insurance Europe) and research, deep dives, business analysis, industry involvement. 

  • Monitor developments on sustainability risk regulation (e.g. ORSA, reporting). 

  • Develop key internal and external relationships and work closely with local risk officers to provide the required information to engage and influence local senior management when action needs to be taken or risk mitigation is required.  

  • Contribute to the production of group policies and provide insights and expertise into risks to enable the organization to understand and manage its risk, enabling strong risk awareness, incl. linkage of strategy, day to day business execution and reward system to risk are of concern to our business.  

  • Contribute to the production of regular reporting to the Board and GEC on risk insights that impact the Group and facilitate the development and maintenance of risk reporting for other stakeholders within the Group. 

 

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  and 5+ Years of relevant experience

  • Experience in process and data optimization and data quality assurance

  • Strong client centric approach and effective communications skills
