An opportunity exists to join our Separation & Flow Technologies team at our Tullamarine site, supporting us in driving growth in the Australian market with technologies that are at the very heart of many food, beverage and pharmaceutical production processes that consumers enjoy and rely on every day.
Our Separation and Flow Technologies Division encompasses process engineering components and machines, including separators, decanters, homogenizers, valves and pumps.
Responsibilities / Tasks
This is a pivotal role, responsible for communicating with existing and potential clients the benefits and value creation that can be realised through our technologies, specifically separation in the water and wastewater industries.
The main tasks include:
- Building and creating relationships with existing and new customers, creating an environment that fosters successful long-term opportunities.
- Ensuring customer needs are determined and proposals and presentations / visits are undertaken in order to secure business opportunities.
- Preparing quotations whilst ensuring cost effective solutions for customers taking into consideration costing, business analysis, embedded marginal cost and market profitability.
- Negotiating and securing contracts, whilst the business and project risks are clearly identified and understood.
- Forecasting annual sales; projecting expected sales volume and profit; analysing trends and results; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs and competition.
- Utilising digital tools to leverage processes and efficiencies such as CRM for maintaining client account data.
- Attend relevant industry forums / trade shows and exhibitions to obtain market insights and further networking opportunities.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Sales role, preferably with industrial equipment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong negotiation and networking skills
- Critical path thinking with strong literacy and numerical skills
- A high level of initiative and resilience.
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on driving results and achieving objectives.
