Anchor Talent has partnered with a global manufacturing company in the North Dallas area to identify two (2) Environmental, Health and Safety Managers. Roles will be located at a production facility and the other will be at the organization’s global distribution hub.
These roles will be heavily focused on safety initiatives and programs and have several direct reports to help implement and create a top-notch safety first culture.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain Health, safety, and Environmental procedures for local operations in accordance with the company goals and winning methodology.
- Provides strong leadership and direction to the company with regards to safety requirements and culture
- Ensures teams and Company actively manage regulatory requirements/changes, incidents, and displays a proactive approach to risk mitigation
- Works locally on the creation, revision and implementation of safety procedures to improve EHS core programs, including safety training, site audits, and the implementation of EHS policies
- Tracks corrective actions taken in response to internal and customer audit/inspection findings
- Supervises, participates and develops the training of employees on EHS policies, procedures, and regulations
- Take ownership of the training, execution, and coaching staff that you are working with to cultivate and lead the company toward worthwhile results.
- Complete, track and report on safety logs and reports
- Visit with department leaders to provide cross-functional leadership, facilitate breakthrough meetings between the departments and discipline experts.
- Constant review and improvements are being assessed and made to improve upon the policies and process.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety programs and quality product
- Promote a “Safety-First” culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or environmental fields, experience will be considered.
- 4+ years of experience providing cross-functional leadership, problem-solving, policy, and procedure implementation and execution, as well as proven communication, manufacturing experience and Health, safety and environmental.
- OSHA certifications
- Previous experience developing presentations both in person and in writing.
- Prior experience with communication, training, and project leadership
- Prior experience and understanding of manufacturing heavy equipment or construction equipment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide a natural interest to provide process improvement.
