Southwest Conservation Corps (SCC), a local program within the Conservation Legacy family, is looking for a Corps Director. Southwest Conservation Corps (SCC) operates conservation service programs across Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico, empowering individuals to positively impact their lives, their communities, and the environment. SCC has broad program offerings including individual intern placements in natural resource positions as well as crew-based conservation service programs for youth, young adults, and current-era Veterans.
The Corps Director will join a passionate and mission-driven staff that works from Durango or Salida, CO on projects throughout the region— from the beautiful San Juan Mountains to the mighty Arkansas River to the many lush National Forests in between, supporting a diversity of projects and people. Southwest Conservation Corps’ location and the surrounding areas offer the best outdoor recreation this beautiful region has to offer—from hiking and climbing to biking, birding, and boating, there is something for everyone.
