Team/division description
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity. Our team “Advanced Powertrain & Target Setting” is a research group within Powertrain covering xEV battery, E-motor, Power electronics, Charging strategy and other alternative Powertrains.
Your project
With increasing electrification, batteries play an increasingly important role in mobility and other areas. You will support to research the latest technology on battery cells and packs, as well as simulation of various use cases. The project scope can be adjusted to your skillset and can contain following activities, but is not restricted to:
- State-of-art & future technology research (from research papers, patents, conferences and other information sources) with regards to battery cell, pack, thermal management to develop and update technology roadmaps for Toyota in Europe
- Application of battery simulation model in various use cases including thermal management for technology concept evaluation towards ultra-fast charging, etc.
