About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join as part of the Recycling Division and provide professional day to day account management ensuring profitable accounts are retained, margins are maintained/improved and extract further value-added growth opportunities for the business.
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will have the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with our customers, suppliers, senior management, or other stakeholders in the business. You’ll collaborate with various business teams within DS Smith to drive business development strategies and improve existing solutions, as well as advise our sales teams with on tender preparation, contract and quotations in order to ensure accuracy and timeliness of inputs.
Key accountabilities
Responsibilities include (but not limited):
- Bringing in new business from existing and new clients
- Reviewing and developing operational processes to improve performance and maximise growth
- Managing daily operations
- Working together with relevant departments to develop accurate and consistent bids
- Establishing sales targets and ensuring that a company meets these
- Managing risk assessments for new initiatives
- Overseeing and developing cross-functional teams
- Staying aware of the latest trends and developments
- Assisting with product planning,Change Management, Communicating & Embedding Practices
