Job Title: Waste Diversion Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Waste Diversion Specialist to join our Sales Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing waste management programs for companies that generate large volumes of waste. The candidate will work closely with these companies to help them divert their waste responsibly while considering cost components in their presentation. Loop Recycling has 4 material recovery facilities in the Chicagoland market to support this initiative. The Waste Diversion Specialist will work closely with the executive team to contribute to the enrichment and innovative approach of the overall sales and marketing strategy. The success of this candidate will be evaluated on a monthly basis based on closed sales and quality of pipeline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Waste Diversion Specialist will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Conduct presentations and cold calls to generate new business
- Increase gross margin through effective sales strategies
- Utilize lead-generation techniques to identify potential customers
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
- Maintain a strong team player attitude and motivation to achieve sales targets
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Waste Diversion Specialist position should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Proven track record of successful sales experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of waste and recycling services is a plus

Qualifications:
- 3 years of sales experience in solid waste or recycling industry or similar service industry oriented sales experience
- Results-driven with a proven track record of increasing gross margin
- Strong lead-generation experience
- Salesforce or other CRM experience
- Computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and techniques
- Project a positive attitude and maintain a professional appearance
- Upbeat, contagious personality and strong work ethics
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred
