They're seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and guide our financial systems, ensuring they empower the organization for continued success.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing the organization's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Leading the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financial performance. Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Identifying and managing financial risks, ensuring the organization's financial health and stability. Implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Managing cash flow to ensure operational needs are met and optimize the deployment of financial resources.
- Evaluating and optimising the organization's capital structure. Explore and secure financing options when necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements. Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations affecting the industry.
- Collaborating with executive leadership to make strategic financial decisions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, and divestitures.
- Establishing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Leading and mentoring the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the development of staff.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is typically required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Substantial experience in finance and accounting roles, with a progression of increasing responsibility.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to contribute to overall business strategy and decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as CFOs often need to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a finance team.
- Familiarity with the specific industry in which the organization operates is often preferred, as industry dynamics can impact financial strategies.
