As the Solar Estimator, you will be responsible for bidding and winning profitable and feasible projects when considering construction. You will also manage strategies to maximize profits, and cash flow and minimize losses during construction.
You will be responsible for bid documentation, vendor pricing, relationships, requisitions and cost to complete, start-up meetings, and owner estimates.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect and understand all RFP requirements, scope of work, drawings, and project specifications.
- Analyze data, perform takeoffs and calculations with accuracy.
- Ensure a complete understanding of contract documents and potential project risks to make recommendations on mitigation strategies.
- Conduct site visits for data relevant to the project site and conditions and utilize this data to adjust bidding.
- Utilize company buyout procedure with relevant data to negotiate the best possible deals for costing, quality and delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams and resources to produce accurate bids.
- Ensure all vendors and subcontractors have all required forms and agreements in place.
- Oversee certain deliverables on project startup.
Requirements:
- BA in Engineering, Construction, or 5+ years of relevant related experience.
- 2 years of construction estimating experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge and understanding of NEC requirements and other standards.
- NABCEP is preferred.
- Experience with takeoff software.
- Knowledgeable with estimating, engineering, cost tracking systems and site surveying.
