Position Overview
The Manager, Talent Development assesses company-wide developmental needs to identify and drive training initiatives for employees at all levels. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing learning and development programs aligned to Invenergy’s strategic goals and initiatives.
This role focuses on enhancing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of employees to drive individual and organizational performance. The person in this role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and Human Resources team members to identify development needs, design learning initiatives, and oversee the execution of programs. Success in this role will be achieved through achieving a ‘learning culture’ of continuous learning, feedback and development.
The on-site role is located at Invenergy's headquarters in downtown Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
Build Learning and Development strategies across the Corporate and Services organizations with a particular focus on: Leadership Development, Onboarding, Career Pathing and Sustained Training.
Identify, design, develop and deliver engaging and impactful training and development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of various training method, for individual contributors, people leaders and high potential employees.
Provide thought leadership and innovative ideas to enable a "learning culture” supported by Invenergy’s core values and competencies.
Revitalize Invenergy’s Performance Management System and ensure Invenergy’s competency framework and Company Goals are embedded within all levels of the organization.
Lead employee engagement survey initiatives, and other employee experience surveys, using the Culture Amp platform.
Oversee the administration of talent development technology platforms, the Learning Management System (LMS) and mentoring software.
Facilitate the Succession Planning Process and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for key employees.
Provide current insights on talent and learning technologies, tools, and trends to enhance innovative program design and effectiveness, and employee engagement.
Manage, train and mentor Talent Development team members.
Manage external training vendors and resources as needed.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational/Instructional Design, Training & Development or other related field.
Minimum of 5 years of dynamic corporate learning and development experience.
Minimum of 2 years of people management experience.
Proven experience in corporate learning program management with the ability to build and execute programs effectively and efficiently, and monitor and measure learning outcomes.
Experience building scalable programs from inception to implementation.
Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
Experience administering a learning management system (LMS).
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with experience working cross functionally and demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence across teams.
Strong project management and prioritization skills to effectively manage and drive multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
