Job Description Summary
Plant Standards Lead Controls Engineer for a world class engineering team that is responsible for the development of standards and the NPI (New Product Introduction), to be converted to standards, as well as testing and validation of plant controls software and hardware. Through innovation and active partnering with other GE engineering teams and external customers you will have the opportunity to work with Combined Cycle Systems Engineering, Accessories, Customer and CST (Control Systems Technology) controls teams to devise roadmap for plant controls for New Unit and Services opportunities world-wide. This Lead role requires some autonomy and judgement , with guidance, in addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external customers, is critical in driving a team culture of technical domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Design, develop and execute strategies to gather and define requirements, develop and validate Plant (HRSG and BOP) NPI control application software .
- Design, develop and execute standard control application software against requirements while creating a permanent linkage between requirement and standards artifacts.
- Work with the technical leaders, Control Title Holders (CTH), internal customers, and external customers to gather control and operability requirements to deliver a quality product on time to meet Power Plant startups and commissioning activities. Perform various design reviews with the CTHs, including Chief Consulting Engineer for the Software designed and created.
- Support RCA for defects and debug application code.
- Define and deliver productivity and process improvements that increase the capacity of the Plant Controls team.
- Lead and support Agile enterprise tool strategies..
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- HRSG Controls;
- Balance of Plant Controls in Combined Cycle Plant;
- Mark VIe programming
