POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Lead Fleet Maintenance Technician position supports the Fleet Manager and transportation team in maintaining truck and rolling stock up to date on PMs. The role helps maintain the fleet on the road as well as trailers, forklift and loaders. This position must possess moderate to extremely proficient mechanical knowledge, diesel and normal automotive.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fleet Maintenance (Front end Loader, Tractors, Box trucks, Rear loaders)
- Electrical troubleshooting of Fleet Vehicles
- Standard DC (sensors)
- Clean up shop areas and keep up with safety and environmental compliance
- Perform major repairs alongside Fleet Tech and Fleet Manager
- Order and pick up parts and supplies
- Previous mechanical experience in Fleet or Automotive
- Minimum 5-yeas of experience
- Must provide own tools
- Able to multi-task and work on multiple projects
- Familiar with hydraulic systems
- Is familiar with CMMS Software
- Must have basic troubleshooting experience
- In Fleet or Automotive
- Current/Valid Texas Driver’s License – CDL preferred by not required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred by not required
