We are looking for a Senior Manager to join the Energy Efficiency team’s Market Transformation & Building Electrification Sector. In this role, you will oversee program execution quality, ensure financial and operational effectiveness, and integrate cross‑team delivery to achieve market transformation outcomes. In addition, you will direct a cross‑cutting solution area focused on accelerating the adoption of advanced energy efficiency and building electrification technologies. This role is ideal for someone who can drive strategic, operational, and financial performance across multiple market transformation and electrification programs and holds accountability for advancing program excellence, market impact, and business growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage the market transformation and building electrification solution area, aligning strategy with company priorities, client objectives, and regulatory and market requirements
- Oversee and hold accountable execution of multiple complex programs (e.g., codes & standards advancement, technology pilots, market interventions), ensuring delivery standards, operational excellence, and client satisfaction
- Establish and enforce implementation frameworks, procedures, and quality standards to enable scalable and repeatable success in market transformation and electrification initiatives
- Develop and implement strategic approaches for market transformation, electrification program growth, and optimization
- Design and drive operational strategies to improve resource allocation, program efficiency, and market impact
- Assess and interpret performance trends, market conditions, and policy developments to guide strategic innovation and program adjustments
- Identify and advance opportunities to expand service offerings, including new electrification pilots, codes and standards support, or market actor engagement
- Develop cost estimates and forecast project completion timelines for clients and proposal efforts
- Manage and develop internal teams’ ability to execute market transformation and electrification programs independently and effectively
- Develop senior staff and Project Managers through mentorship, knowledge transfer, and structured performance guidance
- Develop and maintain strategic client relationships with utilities, public agencies, and industry partners
- Lead development of standard proposal content and subject‑matter materials to strengthen competitive positioning
- Design, implement, and improve program procedures to mitigate operational risks and enhance continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of progressively responsible experience managing complex programs, solution areas, or cross-functional initiatives within energy efficiency, utilities, market transformation, or a related regulated industry
- 5 years of experience leading teams, projects, or programs with accountability for outcomes and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated experience with market transformation, building electrification, codes & standards, or related initiatives
- Mastery of market transformation, building electrification, and energy efficiency program design and delivery.
- Advanced understanding of codes, standards, and regulatory processes impacting electrification and energy efficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage financial performance and ensure profitability within a defined area.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, market trends, and results to inform strategic decisions.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations, client-facing reports, and performance dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certifications: Advanced industry certifications (e.g., PMP, CEM, or related credentials)
- Experience serving as a Program Manager or Senior Project Manager for utility energy efficiency, market transformation, or building electrification programs.
The salary range for this role is $105,000 - $137,000 based on experience and qualifications.
