Summary
This position is located in the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The primary purpose is to provide technical guidance in the development, planning, contracting and application of conservation practices and program in the Area consistent with NRCS policy and procedures. This position provides leadership and guidance in the implementation of Farm Bill Programs, and requires professional knowledge of a broad range of physical and biological sciences. .
Major Duties
Provides leadership, technical guidance, interpretations, and recommendations to assigned technical staff, Field Offices, Area Offices, and the ASTC-FO in the assessment, planning and development and application of conservation plans.
