Summary
These located in Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument, in the Maintenance Division. Open until 05/15/2026 whichever comes first. Major Duties
The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April - October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 2026 with a NTE October 2026 Can be extended longer. The primary function of Maintenance Worker is to collect and dispose of trash from roadsides, remove limbs and other obstructions from roadsides and grounds, and clean restrooms and other facilities along the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home. Maintenance Workers also operate small equipment such as leaf blowers and string trimmers. Maintenance Workers also perform minor maintenance duties on all facilities and assist higher-level tradesmen on more complex tasks. Maintenance Workers most often work alone and possess all necessary authority and autonomy to execute normal duties. Emergency call-outs can occur 24/7. ICTAP/CTAP Statement: Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies.
