Job Summary:
This role supports the Environmental Team and contributes across a range of environmental projects nationwide. The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical knowledge, project coordination skills, and the ability to translate complex environmental data into clear, actionable insights. This individual will play a key role in keeping projects organized, compliant, and moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate environmental projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and milestones are met
- Track project progress and proactively follow up on action items
- Assist with environmental compliance activities using established frameworks and processes
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams to support:
- Site inspections
- Corrective actions
- Ongoing environmental obligations
- Review and interpret technical documents and environmental data; summarize key findings for stakeholders
- Prepare technical summaries, reports, and investigation documentation
- Support or lead internal team initiatives, ensuring effective execution and follow-through
- Travel to project sites nationwide, as needed, to support operational requirements
Technical & Professional Qualifications
- Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, NPDES, Title V)
- Experience conducting and preparing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Familiarity with environmental sampling methods and field equipment
- Experience with environmental permitting, compliance, and reporting systems
- Strong data analysis and technical writing capabilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines across various stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information clearly
- Comfortable collaborating with geographically dispersed teams via virtual platforms (Teams, Zoom, email, etc.)
- Proficient in leveraging AI and digital tools to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and support reporting
- Demonstrates ownership by proactively advancing work and providing consistent updates to senior team members
