The Assistant Manager- Health, Safety & Sustainability will carry out managerial functions and initiatives in the development and implementation of corporate Health & Safety programmes across all ESF operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Manager - Health, Safety & Sustainability in developing and implementing corporate policies, procedures, programmes and strategic plans for the Organisation.
- With strong technical and scientific knowledge and relevant experience, take a lead role in managing campus hygiene, infectious disease prevention and first-aid treatment programmes.
- Conduct audits and inspections including campus hygiene and canteen inspections.
- Manage regular sampling and testing of water, air, canteen food and environmental parameters by contract work with external laboratories.
- Manage and conduct carbon footprint data collection, analysis and other sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and ESF health & safety policies and guidelines.
- Take part in preparation of budget plans and tendering of service contracts.
- Communicate with schools, support teams and stakeholders to facilitate work and cooperation.
- Establish and keep track of milestones and objectives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Take part in ongoing corporate programmes and specific assignments.
Requirements
- Degree in Health Sciences, Environmental Science, Nursing or equivalent.
- Proven track record in managing contractors and consultants.
- Detailed knowledge of Hong Kong health, food and water quality legislation and international best practices.
- Capacity to learn and develop additional skills as necessary.
- Fluency in written and oral English.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
