DescriptionThe Division of Engineering and Environmental Studies is seeking applications for an adjunct instructor in Environmental Health and Safety. Courses to be taught may include
- OSHA Regulations for General Industry
- OSHA Regulations for Construction
- Environmental Audits and Assessments
- Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology
- Emergency Planning and Preparedness.
We seek instructors who are adept in student-centered teaching methods, equity-based approaches to pedagogy and experience with digital teaching technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Teach a M/W/F or T/TH on-campus schedule; however, hybrid or online options may be available based on experience and need. Course schedules may include up to 3 courses per semester.
- Course preparation, delivery, grading, and records management for each course for the full duration of scheduled instruction.
- Be fully prepared for each class session and enforce academic policy and procedures
- Comply with institutional rules and regulations.
- Maintain complete course and student records.

QualificationsMinimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Environmental or Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related field and a minimum of 5 years of Environmental Health and Safety experience with a Safety Professional and/or Industrial Hygienist certification; OR Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or closely related field.
