Major Duties
Major Duties of this position include: Perform journey-level masonry work to maintain, repair, alter, restore, and construct historic and modern masonry structures using brick, block, stone, mortar, and related materials. Preserve and restore historic masonry features in accordance with preservation standards, including mortar replication, decorative finishes, and structural stabilization. Independently interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, historic preservation standards, and construction specifications to plan and execute masonry projects. Construct, repair, and restore complex structural and decorative masonry elements requiring precision, craftsmanship, and aesthetic matching. Support broader facility and preservation operations through safe execution of masonry work in varied environmental and operational settings.
