Summary
This position is located in Mount Rainier National Park in the Facilities Maintenance Division, Utilities Group. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately 11 months, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.
Major Duties
The following duties are listed at the WG-07 level for this position. Utility Systems Repairer-Operators (USRO's) are responsible for assisting in the efficient repair, maintenance and operation of water treatment facilities, water distribution systems, large on site septic (LOSS) wastewater collections systems, lift stations, and ancillary equipment. Read meters and check monitoring devices, pressure switches, gauges, pumps, motors and troubleshoot and reset switches and breakers. Assist with the collection and processing of water samples in the operation of a state certified lab, performing bacteriological analysis following Quality Assurance/Quality Control requirements. Assist in sewage pumping operations, scheduled and emergency water and wastewater system repairs. **In order to meet requirements for the WG-09; The incumbent will need to possess and maintain a current Water Treatment Operators Certificate, and you must be able to secure and maintain a valid Washington State Department of Health Services I Water Treatment Operators Certificate. **In order to meet requirements for the WG-09; The incumbent will need to possess and maintain a current Wastewater Treatment Operators Certificate, and you must be able to secure and maintain a valid Washington State Department of Health Services I Wastewater Treatment Operators Certificate.
