We are looking for an Electrical Engineer, Equipment Design to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Principal Engineer, NPI and based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. Roles and Responsibilities: Design and develop R&D equipment, tools/test fixtures to support feasibility and investigation efforts. Collaborate with controls, mechanical and process engineers to generate electrical requirements – I/O list, components mapping, electrical safety requirements. Design and Build Electrical Boxes for Equipment is a requirement. This includes electrical box layout, wiring and plumbing. Support existing equipment install base in BE Production and in BE Suppliers. This includes troubleshooting issues, debugging, and new feature requests for both hardware and software. Work with Operations equipment and process engineering teams to develop equipment/tools and processes ramped up for production volumes Education and Experience: Automation and Test Equipment Design Proficiency creating detailed electrical and fluid schematics in CAD (DraftSight preferred) Design Documentation: Electrical Wiring, P&ID, Plumbing Diagrams is a requirement Strong understanding on electrical safety, automated equipment safety in production environment. PLC ladder logic programming experience on Allen Bradley, Omron or other platform is a plus Digital I/O and Stepper/Servo Motor Control, P&ID Control, Analog Signal Processing, Data Acquisition, SQL server database interface software development skills (with National Instruments LabVIEW, Arcus Motion Technology or other software platforms) is a plus Vision system algorithm development (with Cognex or Keyence) is a plus 3D camera/sensor height measurement programming experience with Keyence LJ-V heads and Keyence CV-X or XG vision controller is a plus Experience with application of various metrology technologies for measuring micron range features such as XRF, Eddy Current, 3D sensor, thermography, etc. for production in-line inspection stations is a plus.
