We are looking for a Corporate Environmental Manager to help us meet Trex’s long-term environmental and sustainability goals. As a Trex Corporate Environmental Manager, you will be looked to as an innovator in the manufacturing process and expected to support multi-site HSE Compliance, reporting, and waste management by coordinating compliance assurance programs for operations. This role is a key member of our EHS team.

Environmental Subject Matter Expert and Corporate Liaison for Plant EHS Teams
- Manage compliance and maintenance of all company environmental permits, including air, water, wastewater, stormwater, and waste permits.
- Operate as corporate liaison and primary point of contact between the company and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare, review, and submit required regulatory reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Track regulatory changes and assess potential impacts to company operations.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and information requests from agencies.
- Represent the company during regulatory meetings, inspections, and environmental inquiries.
- Maintain positive working relationships with regulatory and local stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental programs and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure environmental policies are current, effective, and compliant.
- Lead the identification and implementation of cost-effective solutions for regulatory-required compliance projects and corporate performance initiatives.
- Support site EHS teams with training on compliance programs and reports.
- Oversee and develop waste reduction strategies and programs to support achievement of Company goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure that environmental requirements are met when choosing equipment and/or making changes to operations.
- Work with sourcing to identify and manage third-party consultants.
Safety/Compliance/Legal
- Develop, manage, and lead Health and Safety programs to keep safety awareness high and deliver on the company’s commitment that safety is the number one priority.
- Audit Health and Safety procedures and processes to maintain compliance. Ensure all required inspections are current and all documentation is accurate.
- Manage industrial hygiene programs.
- Develop, manage, and lead Health and Safety activities to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Develop, manage, and lead the Site Safety Committee, Emergency Response Team, and Industrial Fire Brigade.
- Manage and coordinate site insurance, loss control, and workers' compensation insurance providers.
- Support environmental, health, and safety activities at the corporate level, including field sales and purchasing representatives.

EXPERIENCE
We are looking for leaders with a bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, engineering, or a related discipline, plus 10 years of EH&S experience and a minimum of 5 years in an EH&S management role with multi-site oversight. Candidates without a degree will be required to have 15 years of EH&S experience with a minimum of 10 years in an EH&S management role in a manufacturing environment with multi-site oversight. SALARY
Base Salary Range: $118,000 - $145,000 annually.
The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
