Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are
not limited to:
ï· Safety Program Support: Assist in the implementation of safety programs and
initiatives to maintain a safe working environment in compliance with local, state, and
federal regulations.
ï· Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections of the plant to identify potential
hazards and safety concerns (e.g., machinery, electrical systems, chemical handling)
and help ensure corrective actions are implemented.
ï· Incident Reporting: Support the tracking and documentation of workplace accidents,
near-misses, injuries, and safety concerns. Participate in investigations to determine
root causes and assist in recommending improvements.
ï· Training and Education: Assist in the scheduling and coordination of employee
training on environmental permits, safety procedures, emergency response, and the
proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
ï· PPE Management: Help monitor and maintain PPE inventory, ensuring proper
distribution, usage, and compliance with safety standards across the plant.
ï· Safety Awareness: Collaborate with the facility EHS Manager to promote safety
culture and awareness through signage, meetings, and ongoing communication.
ï· Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring the plant remains compliant with OSHA,
EPA, SC DES and other regulatory agencies.
ï· Documentation and Reporting: Support the preparation and submission of required
safety and environmental reports to governmental agencies and internal
stakeholders.
ï· Emergency Preparedness: Assist in emergency preparedness drills (e.g., fire drills,
evacuation procedures) and maintenance of emergency response plans.
ï· Waste and Environmental Compliance: Support efforts to minimize environmental
impact by assisting with waste management practices.
ï· Continuous Improvement: Participate in safety meetings and contribute ideas to
improve EHS policies and practices within the plant.
ï· Other: Other duties as directed by the Conway Facility EHS Manager and the Aalberts IPSA EHS Director.
