& Environmental Specialist (Industrial Hygiene)

Requirements<\/h3>
Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/p>
Preparation of IH Procedures and other related documents.
<\/span><\/li>Completion of IH monitoring as per program requirements
<\/span><\/li>Provision of guidance to site on all aspects of IH
Management.
<\/span><\/li>Troubleshooting and resolution of IH issues.
<\/span><\/li>Preparation of Industrial Hygiene Training materials and
delivery of training.
<\/span><\/li>PPE Selection and approval as per program requirements.
<\/span><\/li>Implementation of EHS programmes required to ensure
compliance with local legislation, our company's standards, and industry best
practices.
<\/span><\/li>Completion of required risk assessments and incident
investigations
<\/span><\/li>Participation of EHS Audits and Inspections and support
of external audits undertaken by Regulatory agencies or corporate.
<\/span><\/li>Liaison with regulatory authorities and corporate
stakeholders as required.
<\/span><\/li>Preparation of required reports for site, corporate or
regulatory agencies as required.
<\/span><\/li>Completion of corporate program assessments.
<\/span><\/li>Close out of CAPA's as per agreed timelines and scope.
<\/span><\/li>Analyzes and inspects work environments and procedures to
ensure adherence to regulations on safety, health, and the environment. Designs
programs to prevent disease or injury to workers and damage to the environment.
<\/span><\/li>Collaborates with management to institute controls and
remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or
equipment. Conducts safety training and education programs and demonstrates the
use of safety equipment.
<\/span><\/li>Coordinates "right -to -know" programs regarding
hazardous chemicals and other substances. Position will receive direction and
support.

Skills and Education:<\/b>
<\/p>
In order to excel in this role, the following is desired
but not essential:
<\/span><\/li>Science, Chemical or Engineering related Degree.
<\/span><\/li>Diploma or MSc I Occupational Health and Safety.
<\/span><\/li>Specialist IH or equivalent IH Qualification as approved
by the Faculty of the British Occupational Hygiene Society.
<\/span><\/li>Handling of Potent API's and Hazardous Chemicals.
<\/span><\/li>Containment Equipment selection and validation.
<\/span><\/li>Experience on supporting multiple activities/projects
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
