Summary: The Storyland Attendant is responsible for the general upkeep of Storyland facility including grounds and exhibits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned - Prepare Storyland for daily opening to the public.
- Performs daily walk through to ensure all exhibits are in good working condition and operating as intended.
- Performs general cleaning and upkeep to Storyland exhibits.
- Daily cleaning of fountains including pumps and nozzles.
- Performs routine water feature maintenance to include but not limited to chlorination, draining and pressure washing fountain and pool areas.
- Ensures the Storyland remote control boats are in good working order and monitors the boats throughout operations.
- Responsible for light property maintenance to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for park guests.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of park grounds.
- Is able to lift 50 lbs and operate company vehicles.
- Assists managers, mechanics, and general staff as needed.
- Communicates daily with supervisors on projects.
- Communicates with supervisory staff regarding any potentially hazardous safety conditions.
- Provides exceptional guest service, answers any guest questions and assists park guests when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements - High School diploma or GED and three (3) years related experience.
- A valid Louisiana driver’s license.
- Must be able to use power tools.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems preferred, but not necessary.
- Must be a self-starter and take initiative on identifying and following through on Storyland needs needed.
