GE Gas Power operates a globally distributed supply chain and is undergoing a significant transformation to improve on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and capacity utilization through integrated planning capabilities.
The Staff Technical Product Manager – Supply Planning will define and drive the product vision, architecture alignment, and roadmap execution for supply, capacity, and replenishment planning within the Supply Chain Planning ecosystem.
This role requires deep expertise in Supply Planning and Replenishment Planning, and will focus on enabling constraint-based planning, inventory optimization, and efficient material flow across the network. The role will work closely with Process Excellence, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure planning solutions are both technically robust and operationally effective.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for Supply Planning, Capacity Planning and Replenishment Planning
- Drive adoption of constraint-based and scenario-driven planning across business units.
- Act as the functional and technical authority on: Oracle Supply Planning Cloud and Oracle Replenishment Planning.
- Lead design and configuration of: Supply plans (constrained/unconstrained), Distribution and replenishment plans, Safety stock and inventory policies
- Ensure optimal use of Planning capabilities such as: Constraint-based planning, Exception management, Plan simulation and what-if analysis.
- Define and implement replenishment strategies including Reorder Point planning, Multi-echelon inventory planning, Safety stock optimization and ensure effective material flow across distribution networks.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, S&OP / IBP teams, Manufacturing and Procurement teams.
- Ensure seamless alignment between: Demand signals, Supply plans and Execution systems.
- Drive best practices and standards in building the solutions that are scalable and optimize performance.
- Drive proof of concept sessions demonstrating system capabilities towards optimizing existing business processes.
- Identify opportunities towards an integrated solution that encompasses intelligence from multiple demand streams and application of AI towards generating a more accurate planning outcome.
- Support resolution of critical issues related to Planning applications and integrations that are impacting business continuity.
- Defining planning master data principles, standards, and guidelines for data management, integration, security, and governance and coherence in master data across downstream applications.
- Work closely with software partners to ensure patches are current, critical issues and enhancements are addressed on time.
- Partner with technology, ERP, product management and commercial IT leadership to strategize their architecture that meets supply planning and analytical requirements.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in planning and integration tools and recommend their incorporation into the overall strategy.
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership skills including solid communication and analytical skills with a thorough understanding of product development and successful problem definition, decomposition, estimation and resolution.
- Ensure compliance with cyber & regulatory requirements.
- Drive Lean adoption and process improvement in the operations and compliance/governance space.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or business administration.
- APICS certification.
- Extensive experience in managing Planning applications (Product Data Hub, Constrained Supply Planning).
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in supply planning and inventory optimization
- Experience in conceptualizing solutions in the PaaS layer and integrating the same with standard business flows .
- Experience with SaaS to SaaS/PaaS integration and middleware such as Dell Boomi, OCI, Talend etc.
- Leadership program preferred.
