Major Duties
The incumbent is a Facility Operations Specialist (Project Manager) for the Blue Ridge Parkway, a Unit of the National Park Service. This position performs project management duties which support an organization that provides engineering, architectural, and landscape architectural advice and guidance on the planning, designing, constructing, expansion, rehabilitation, maintenance and/or re-purposing of existing and/or new structures and facilities. Location The Blue Ridge Parkway extends 469 miles along the crest of the southern Appalachian Mountains through North Carolina and Virginia between two eastern national parks - Shenandoah and Great Smoky Mountains. Asheville, North Carolina - The duty station is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Park Headquarters (mile post 384 on the Blue Ridge Parkway), which is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
