The OFW Systems Engineering Leader has full responsibility for Systems Engineering and Customer Engineering across Offshore Wind product platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop the vision, set strategic priorities, and ensure priority alignment across the engineering community & cross-functional stakeholders
Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality. Ensure products deliver on availability, reliability, and performance targets. Partner with Chief Engineer and Engineering VP to build strong technical underwriting processes & culture
Identify, plan, and execute high impact programs that deliver bottom-line growth
Lead the organizations to translate product requirement documents to high quality engineering documents, setting all critical requirements for program execution
Manage the engineering team through the product development lifecycle ensuring full lifecycle view. Reduce NPI cycle times and deliver design to cost for new products
Own and approve customer-facing documents (power curves, noise, grid, etc.), tollgates, PRD’s, and related engineering processes & documentation
Partner with Fleet Performance teams to support underwriting of FSA models & productivity
Drive product cost including system level cost reduction ideas, evaluation, and implementation
Partner with Fleet Performance Management on timely and effective resolution of quality/performance issues and drive systems solutions when necessary
Build a strong team – attract, develop, and retain great talent. Create culture of empowerment, coaching, and talent development
Own a significant engineering operating and NPI investment budget
Ensure that platform teams share best practices, tools, lessons learned, and drive a consistent cross-platform approach
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or related discipline
5+ years of Wind engineering experience
5+ years of managing engineering teams
May require travel of 30% of time
Desired Characteristics:
Demonstrated ability to guide engineering teams to develop and launch new products on time, with quality, and at cost targets
Strong technical experience including product development, engineering fundamentals, RCA, system tradeoffs, and related items. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strategic thinker – able to navigate complexity, develop clear actions, and communicate complex information in clear, concise manner
Effective coach, trusted mentor, and demonstrated ability to build high performing teams
Demonstrated ability to influence others and drive cross-functional teams to success
Takes action and manages conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Takes ownership of issues and drive solutions
Master’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $228,000 and $342,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
