General Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Electrical Maintenance Manager oversees safe plant operations and ensures all safety programs are strictly followed. This role directs and monitors electrical installations, construction projects, and preventative maintenance while supervising and developing Electrical Department staff. The Electrical Maintenance Manager provides technical assistance for complex electrical problems and maintains accurate electrical prints and drawings. This role performs advanced PLC programming and HMI configuration, diagnoses and repairs plant control and automation systems, and collaborates with staff, management, and vendors to resolve issues and drive system improvements.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 Annually
Essential Functions
- Responsible for safe operations and ensures plant safety programs are strictly adhered to.
- Direct, schedule, and monitor electrical installations and construction projects.
- Supervise Electrical Department and coordinate employee activities by delegating responsibility, motivating, training, and evaluating performance.
- Monitor and order parts needed for preventative maintenance and construction projects.
- Provide technical assistance for difficult electrical and maintenance problems.
- Provide training for electricians through the apprenticeship program and various educational opportunities.
- Ensure all safety requirements are met and that electrical crews have all the proper materials, tools, and equipment to do their jobs effectively and safely.
- Perform both routine and complex PLC programming and program Human Machine Interface computers to interact with the process.
- Perform diagnosis and repair of plant control and automation systems including electronic motor drives and electronic test equipment.
- Design and install plant control and automation systems as needed using structured methodologies.
- Maintain current and accurate prints and drawings of electrical equipment and systems for CSRM.
- Collaborate with other department staff, management and/or vendors to resolve problems, communicate department needs, facilitate system improvements, and coordinate the purchase or service of equipment.

Communicates upward problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.
Job Conditions
Work is primarily performed indoors in both an office and manufacturing environment. When work is required within the mill, the individual may be exposed to outdoor and plant conditions, where appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and will be provided.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment, technologies, terminology, and practices related to industrial technology
- Working knowledge of CSRM's electrical systems and the State of Oregon's electrical safety rules and regulations
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, volt/ohm meters, oscilloscopes, PLC and HMI programming software, AC and DC drives software, panel view software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical staff
- Experience providing training and supervising electrical employees in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and skill in the design, installation, and maintenance of plant control and automation systems
- Ability to apply industrial engineering principles and techniques to problem resolution
- Ability to effectively instruct and direct electricians in a course of action
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This position requires the ability to reach, grasp, and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions regularly, along with occasional pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds and lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Some duties, such as programming, may be performed while seated, though the role involves frequent movement within both office and manufacturing environments. Strong sensory capabilities are essential, including clear vision, hearing, speech, touch, and the ability to detect irregularities such as unusual sounds, smells, or equipment malfunctions.
