Summary
This position is located in Haleakala National Park, in the Resources Manangement Division.
Major Duties
Serve as the principal resource advisor to senior leadership, representing the Superintendent in consultations with Native Hawaiian organizations, partner agencies, and the public. Develop and execute protection, mitigation, and restoration projects addressing cultural landscapes, native ecosystems, critical habitats, and physical resources. Prepare technical reports and translate scientific findings into formats usable by resource specialists, managers, educators, and external partners. Ensure adherence to the National Historic Preservation Act and facilitate consultation with Native Hawaiian organizations and state historic preservation authorities.
