About This Role: The Inventory Control Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our manufacturing operations. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including stocking production supply rooms, processing incoming materials, meticulous management of materials within the ERP system, oversight of finished goods inventories, and the execution of annual physical inventories. The Inventory Control Specialist is crucial in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in our supply chain. This is a full-time position.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Inventory Transactions: Execute the movement of inventory for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Documentation and Procedures: Ensure proper documentation (i.e., material requisition) is completed and all relevant procedures are strictly followed before and after any inventory movement.
WMS/ERP Management: Manage transactions within the WMS/ERP system to accurately reflect the physical movement of goods, identify any discrepancies, and perform thorough root cause analysis.
Cycle Counting: Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain high inventory accuracy and minimize variances.
Annual Inventory Planning: Assist in the comprehensive planning and execution of the full annual physical inventory.
Surplus and Scrap Management: Assist in the effective management and appropriate disposal of surplus materials and scrap.
Adequate Inventory Maintenance: Ensure sufficient inventory levels of materials and products are maintained in accordance with established inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.
Production Floor Support: Transport parts to the production floor as needed.
Job Material Issuance: Issue parts to specific jobs according to project specifications.
Job Kitting: Prepare jobs for production by unboxing all parts and organizing like materials together on job carts.
Sheet Metal Handling: Pull necessary sheet metal for CNC operators to expedite production timelines.
Bill of Materials Verification: Double-check the Bill of Materials for projects moving into production to confirm the presence of all required parts.
ERP System Utilization: Utilize the ERP system to accurately track all material movements and inventory levels.
Monthly Cycle Counts: Perform monthly cycle counts of materials and provide necessary assistance to the warehouse as required.
Warehouse Assistance: Assist with various warehouse tasks, including receiving, unloading trucks, maintaining cleanliness, and general upkeep of the lot.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Inventory Control Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in inventory control, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
MRP System Familiarity: Experience working with an MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all inventory-related tasks.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and analyze inventory discrepancies and implement effective solutions.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with various teams, including production and warehouse personnel.

Compensation: Base compensation will be paid in the range of $21-25/hr. Stock options are included in all offers. Pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
