Infravision is seeking a motivated, experienced Unmanned Aircraft Instructor to conduct and manage flight training and knowledge transfer across our global operations. You will play a pivotal role in scaling our operations, ensuring that every pilot embodies a high-reliability operator mindset. By delivering world-class training and developing robust instructional workflows, you will directly support our mission to modernize the global power grid through cutting-edge aerial robotics.

What you’ll do
Deliver and maintain flight training programs for new and existing operational employees to ensure they are ready to deliver on real world projects, including:
- Safe, effective, and efficient use of equipment, methodologies and techniques required to build or operate Infravision products in the field on construction projects.
- Utilise best practice to deliver and manage effective field training outcomes for a diverse trainee base across Infravisions global operating regions, including:
- Australia, India, United States and Canada.
- Classroom instruction on aerial robotic technology, aviation regulations, Infravision construction methods, and data collection techniques.
- Hands-on flight exercises using simulators and actual RPAS.
- Practical exercises on the use and maintenance of ground equipment for Infravision construction and RPAS support.
- E-learning modules on relevant aviation regulations and Infravision construction practices.
- Ensure that all training programs comply with relevant global standards including regulations for RPAS operations, relevant industry standards for Infravision construction activities and vendor onboarding requirements.
- Collaborate with Infravisions engineering and technology teams to test, evaluate and understand training and upskilling requirements for new technologies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest:
- Training and education best practices
- RPAS technologies, aviation regulations specific to RPAS use
- Infravision construction methodology and associated ground equipment.
- Lead, mentor and coach a motivated team of trainers and personnel who will be delivering training and standardisation outcomes across the globe as we scale our operations.
- Support global and regional leaders to manage the training resources to deliver an optimised outcome for regional field leaders.
Work closely with product, technology and operational leaders to ensure training needs are known and met, in addition to providing inputs for product development requirements.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a training and development role, preferably in the aviation, military or construction industry.
- Proven experience in delivering operational or technical training programs, specifically for high risk operations, aviation or similar technologies / industries.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a field environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to assess training needs specific to aerial robotic use, Infravision construction methods, and their integration in transmission line solutions.
- Develop effective training programs that meet aviation compliance requirements and industry best practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a track record of delivering high-quality products on schedule.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Experience and willingness to work in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
- Able to work in remote, field locations in an outdoor construction environment.
- Willing and able to travel overseas to Infravision operating locations, including but not limited to Australia, Canada and India.
