Summary
This position serves as a museum curator in an organizational unit or office of the National Park Service (NPS). The purpose of this position is to provide direction over diverse museum collections and carry out responsibilities in the four museum functions of collections, exhibits, research, and education
Major Duties
Knowledge of the practical methods, procedures, and technology of museum management. Ability to provide technical assistance on federal laws, policies, and regulations governing museum collections. Knowledge of long-term planning and management of museum and archival collections Ability to administer the work and budget of a museum program. Ability to oversee and coordinate the work of museum specialists, archivists, researchers, contractors, volunteers, and other museum professionals or teams of professionals.
