Senior Safety Leadership Role | Manufacturing & Fabrication | Snohomish & Skagit County
Build a Safety Program That People Actually Believe In
If you’re a safety leader who knows how to balance real-world production with uncompromising standards - and who has the backbone to say yes, no, or let’s talk about it - this role gives you a rare chance to shape a safety culture from the top.
This is not a clipboard-and-checklist position. It’s a hands-on leadership role in a fast-growing, heavy-industrial manufacturing and fabrication environment where safety, operations, and production must work together. You’ll be empowered to improve systems, elevate people, and bring the organization to the next level of safety maturity.
For the right leader, this role offers visibility, influence, and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on a company that is actively investing in its safety program.
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an EHS Manager to lead and grow the safety function across multiple production and fabrication facilities in Everett and Sedro-Woolley. This is the top safety role in the organization, responsible for setting direction, overseeing site safety leads, driving compliance, and building a proactive safety culture across manufacturing, steel and aluminum fabrication, assembly, and construction operations.
You’ll work closely with Operations, Production, Maintenance, and Executive Leadership to identify risk, remove roadblocks, and implement practical, field-tested safety solutions that support both compliance and productivity.
What You’ll Do
Safety Leadership & Culture
Establish and reinforce a strong, company-wide safety culture rooted in accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.
Lead and mentor site safety leads while serving as the senior safety authority across all locations.
Act as a visible, approachable presence on the shop floor and in the field - earning respect through credibility and consistency.
Compliance, Risk & Audits
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, Washington State L&I, and applicable safety regulations across all operations.
Maintain OSHA 300 logs and all required reporting.
Conduct routine inspections, self-audits, and zone inspections across sites.
Prepare the organization for regulatory audits and manage relationships with inspectors and agencies.
Program Development & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate existing safety programs, identify gaps, and lead meaningful improvements to SOPs, training, and documentation.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions - identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
Use data, trends, and injury metrics to guide decision-making and prevent future incidents.
Training & Field Engagement
Develop and deliver training for employees, supervisors, and safety team members - including crane, forklift, rigging, and equipment safety.
Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and ensure follow-through on action items.
Provide hands-on coaching to production teams, maintenance, and site supervisors.
Operational Partnership
Work directly with Operations and Production leadership to solve real-world safety challenges.
Navigate gray-area field conditions with sound judgment - knowing when work can proceed safely and when it must stop.
Step into site leadership coverage when site supervisors are out to ensure safety continuity.
