Major Duties
The typical season for this position is April - October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. The anticipated entry on duty is May 2026. If selected, you will work as a Motor Vehicle Operator, WG-5703-08, at Denali National Park and Preserve for the Facilities Operations or Roads Team. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Operates and maintains a variety of single-motor vehicles including light-, medium-, and heavy-weight trucks, with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) up to and more than 32,000 pounds or any such vehicle towing a vehicle with a GVWR of more than 10,000 pounds on steep and varied mountainous terrain. Vehicles primarily include tractor trailer and dump trucks (some with dual transmissions). Facilities Operations Motor Vehicle Operator will operate a vacuum pumper truck.
