This position is located in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, in the Division of Facilities.
Major Duties
Major duties of this position include: Manage through subordinates, a complex facility management operation which consists of four or more discrete components, e.g.; roads, mechanical/ electrical/ plumbing, water, wastewater, buildings, and auto/ heavy equipment maintenance. Administers hiring, onboarding, timekeeping, and compliance activities; maintains personnel records and ensures training completion. Manage multiple simultaneous projects, ranging from small, single-discipline projects to large multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, involving both single and multiple-year phasing, potentially funded from multiple funding sources. Participates as a key member of the Park's Senior Leadership Team; serving as principal facility management advisor to park managers on all matters related to the management, restoration, and preservation of the park's historical and non-historical structures and sites; providing professional support to include responsibility and direction for supervision, planning, implementation, and coordination of activities. Champions workplace safety by engaging others in JHAs, GAR analysis, and operational leadership principles to mitigate hazards and protect team members.
