Intuit Dome is seeking a Sustainability Associate to help us achieve our Zero Waste Goal. The Sustainability Associate will support organization-wide sustainability projects, with a focus on resource recovery and reduction programs. This role requires a versatile team member who is comfortable performing hands‑on tasks around the arena—such as staging equipment and moving waste—before transitioning to an office environment to complete data analysis and technical research.
This is a part-time role based at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA, and is not eligible for benefits. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays, to cover high-profile concerts, NBA games, and special events.
What You Will Do
- Support data collection and reporting for certification programs such as LEED Zero.
- Support the day-to-day management of the Zero Waste Program.
- Oversee the monthly Zero Waste Program hauling calendar.
- Maintain storage spaces and prepare material for pick up with donation and recycling partners.
- Work closely with external partners, such as food and beverage and housekeeping, to ensure adherence to sustainability policies.
- Collect and maintain documentation for the Zero Waste Program, including material weight tickets, invoices, and reduction calculations.
- Support education and engagement programs for full and part-time employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Pursuing or has a Bachelor's degree in Sustainability or a related field
- Experience and interest in sustainability practices
- Punctual, reliable, and clear communicator
- Positive attitude and consistent motivation to work
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all departments
- Experience sorting waste or similar materials
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Prior experience in a zero-waste or recycling-focused environment
- Familiarity with waste tracking systems or work order software
Compensation
- The range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 hourly compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- The role is classified as non-exempt.
