We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Advisor at our Tarrawonga Operations. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, you will be part of a collaborative team supporting environmental compliance, monitoring, and rehabilitation activities to achieve site and statutory outcomes.What You’ll Do• Assist and support the Environmental Superintendent with planning, investigating & implementing environmental projects/initiatives.• Maintain & support the site GIS database.• Daily and Weekly Contractor Communication and Coordination• Ensure both environmental and safety compliance are maintained with legislation and standards.What You’ll Bring• Tertiary qualification in Environmental science or related discipline• Demonstrated enthusiasm for environmental performance and sustainable mining practices• Knowledge of regulatory processes in the mining sector• High level oral and written communication skills, particularly in delivering information and liaising with stakeholders• Strong ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationshipsWhy Whitehaven Coal? • Relocation available | temporary camp while you relocate • 5 wks.
