This is a hands-on, end-to-end Tender Manager role within a growing renewable energy contractor, where you’ll be responsible for driving submissions from strategy through to delivery - with real accountability for outcomes.
About the Company:
Our client is a global engineering and construction business (EPC) delivering projects across power generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy.
Operating in Australia within a lean, delivery-focused model, the business requires individuals who can operate with ownership, pace, and commercial awareness.
The Role:
You will lead the preparation and submission of high-quality tenders across renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
This is not a coordination-only role - you will be expected to actively drive the process, challenge inputs, and ensure submissions are both technically compliant and commercially competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end tender preparation and submission
- Interpret technical and commercial documentation to define bid strategy
- Develop and execute win strategies aligned to client requirements
- Coordinate inputs across engineering, estimating, and project teams
- Manage tender timelines, deliverables, and internal accountability
- Oversee bid writing to ensure clear, compelling, client-focused submissions
- Conduct risk assessment and mitigation planning
- Support pricing and estimating inputs where required
- Ensure full compliance with client and internal standards
- Drive quality across all written and presentation aspects of submissions
What This Role Requires (Read Carefully):
This role suits someone who:
- Has operated in tendering within construction, infrastructure, or energy
- Is comfortable owning the full tender lifecycle, not just components
- Can work effectively in a lean environment without large support teams
- Brings strong commercial judgement and critical thinking
- Is proactive, accountable, and able to drive outcomes independently
What This Role Is Not:
- A highly segmented Tier 1 bid environment
- A role where responsibilities are distributed across large teams
- Suitable for individuals who prefer structured, heavily supported workflows
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in tendering / bid management within construction or infrastructure
- Exposure to renewables, power, or HV electrical projects highly regarded
- Understanding of estimating and project delivery principles
- Strong capability across Microsoft Office and tendering systems
