Job Description:
Position Summary
This position is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and executing commodity transactions as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Create plans for and execute on lead generation - locate, evaluate and recruit potential customers/clients.
Serve customers; introduce new product/service offerings; address inquiries and resolve issues; manage deal details, credit and payment terms.
Inform customers of new product/service introductions and prices
Create, monitor and revise/lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
Partner with internal departments on all activities surrounding the transfer or execution of goods/services/products, ensure that appropriate instructions, documentation, and regulatory standards are present.
Maintain and leverage data and resources to develop and execute sales plans, as well as to inform the department through reporting or sharing of information.
Participate in marketing and execution activities as needed

Intermediate knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required in (or the equivalent in work experience) preferably in Agriculture, Business, Finance Economics or related major
2-5 years’ of experience required in commodity merchandising, originations, or trading
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
