We currently have a Director of Operations opportunity available with an established, well-respected Solar Contractor based in Dallas, TX.
Position
We are searching for an individual who can step into a leadership role and help manage their Solar team in terms of people, process, assisting with business development and growing an already established and profitable company. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel as needed but the majority of their role will be performed in Dallas, TX.
This person should have at least 10 years commercial or industrial construction experience. Specific solar experience will absolutely be a benefit. Heavy MEP experience and client relations is also highly valued.
Primary duties:
- Assist and participate in Pre-construction and Estimating tasks
- Ensuring there is proper training is given to all team members
- Develop and maintain job status reports, client communication, maintaining sub-contractor relations and at times be involved in day to day activities as it relates to certain projects.
- Leading, motivating, developing current team and helping grow the existing team as well.

- The ability to help their team manage substantial technical projects in a challenging environment
- Being resourceful and able to think on your feet in order to come up with solutions and suggestions for clients as well as team members
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, subs and vendors
- The desire and ability to take control and full responsibility for all leadership tasks as it relates to your projects and your people
Qualifications
- Construction or Engineering degree required
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry (solar preferred but heavy MEP, commercial or industrial will also be considered)
- Must be willing and able to travel as the need arises to support your team or client base
Compensation
Salary is absolutely dependent upon experience. There will be per diems, travel bonuses and other significant financial incentives for this position.
