Job Description | The Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) at Old Dominion University (ODU) invites applications for a 10-month faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks, to begin in Fall 2023. We seek exceptional candidates with strong research track in Offshore Wind Energy. Appointment will be in one of the five BCET departments depending on the selected candidate’s background and expertise. The successful candidate is expected to perform teaching, research, and service, and must demonstrate an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Exceptional candidates may request tenure upon appointment. |

Minimum Qualifications - Education or training | The candidate must have earned or will receive by May 2023 a doctoral degree in an engineering discipline, or other closely related engineering field, with at least one degree in engineering. |

Preferred Qualifications | Preferred candidates should have substantial expertise, experience with recognized scholarship and research in Offshore Wind Energy. The candidate should also have a clear plan for transferring existing projects, if possible, and how they will acquire and sustain a new stream of externally funded research projects. |
