About the role:
As a key leader within the Energy Storage team, this position will be responsible for setting the Digital Supply Chain strategy for Dyson’s new energy storage solutions unit, responsible for key supply chain processes including Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Return. The role involves mapping end-to-end supply chain processes for Energy Storage and selecting and delivering digital solutions that tie in with the organization’s processes for order-to-cash, S&OP and procure-to-pay. The person in this role will work closely with different functions within the supply chain to ensure that the solutions delivered are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
Overarching Responsibility:
Business owner about SCADA system & software, the SCADA strategy, architecture, acquisition, implementation and operations, including managing changes
Receiver and steerco member for all factory IT and digital hardware & software solutions like ERP, PLM, Warehouse & Material Planning systems, MES
Digital:
Define & manage business requirements for digital solutions for all Operations processes and functions within the Dyson factory (Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Facility and HSE)
Validate, operate, oversee, control & maintaining the digital systems/data routines 24/7 by maintaining an OEE performance of Digital of 99%+
Automation & Control:
Define, steer & manage automation manufacturing solutions with suppliers and program teams in Dyson
Define, recruit and lead an Automation/controls team that validate, operate, improve and maintain the entire Programming/PLC landscape within the factory
Integrate, synchronize and improve all Programming/PLC solutions of the various lines in battery manufacturing
Oversee, steer and take full control of the automation solution in the formation process, for AGV’s, other handling and storage solutions as well as for battery assembly solutions
Define, standardize, steer and own the HMI and their libraries
Secure real-time data processing and analytics for the correctness and capability of the entire digital network enabling full production rate
Support the Prototype LAB with automation/control solutions
About you:
Bachelor's degree computer engineering, manufacturing programming and/or operations management.
Experience in leading and managing Automation/controls and IT/digital teams.
Strong understanding of battery systems manufacturing processes and systems.
Experience in managing and optimizing SCADA, MES and other solutions for automation and digitalisation in previous roles (8 years minimum).
Experience with business requirements, relevant software and IT technology and knowledge of relevant industry standards such as ISA-95.
Experience in small and big scale data engineering & management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Strong project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, Big Data and Analytics, and ability to coordinate projects with other areas of the company such as IT and Engineering.
